Well, wait no longer – Porsche has finally confirmed that it’s a go. And here are the best parts:

1. Regardless that its a full-sized sedan, drivers sit almost as low as in the classic version: the position of the steering wheel, pedals, and driver’s seat are akin to the sports car.

2. The roomy backseat provides enough body room for adults – not just pint-sized kids.

3. It includes the 4.8 litre v8 engine, mounted in the front with a seven-speed transmission.

4. The mid-level includes all-wheel drive alongside an aspirated engine, with 400 hp and 396 lb.-ft of torque.

5. The rear-wheel drive from the Panamera S is a step above the rest, taking about 5.6 seconds to reach 100 km/h.

6. The S also includes standard suspension with adjustable shocks, giving a natural, fluid ride.

7. It starts at $115, 100 for the S. The 4S ranks at $120, 300. The turbo at $155,000.

8. Engines include 4.8 L V8 (S), 4.8 L V8 (4S), and twin-turbocharged (turbo).

9. The power and torque delivers 400 hp/369 lb.-ft./-/ 500 hp/516 lb.-ft. respectively.

10. And gas wise? E.U. cycle combined 12.5/11.1/12.2 L/100 km (36.3/41/37 m.p.g.)

The first iTunes store has successfully launched in Mexico. Over six years have passed since the first one came to the US.Most songs are priced at about 12 pesos, which is approximately 91 cents US. Full albums range from 90 to 170 pesos; music videos are 24 pesos.

Regardless of featuring popular Mexican artists such as Paulina Rubio, and Vicente Fernandez, it seems to have a weak start. It doesn’t currently hold as many songs as the 6 million+ US version, and lacks iPod nano and classic games, audiobooks, television shows, and movies.

According to Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of Internet Services, “The iTunes Store in Mexico is off to a great start with music from all of the majors and hundreds of indie labels. And the revolutionary App Store in Mexico gets bigger and better with great new apps using amazing new features, and we can’t wait to see what developers come up with next.”

We’re waiting, too.

Contemporary buildings were no stranger to him; his clients include famous names found in any modernist architecture text, among them Richard Neutra, Rudolf M. Schindler, Gregory Ain, Frank Lloyd Wright, John Lautner, Eero Saarinen, Albert Frey, P and many others.

Known to perhaps make architecture look too beautiful, Shulman had a heavy hand in making his photography deliver the best possible representation. He would gladly rearrange furniture, bring in props, use model, and crop unwanted images.

According to the LATimes, Shulman found these tactics part of the job, saying he wasn’t just the photographer, but instead “selling modernism.”

“I sell architecture better and more directly and more vividly than the architect does,” he had explained.

You might not know it, but Les Paul completely altered the way that folks hear and make music. Perhaps not a household name, the pop musician was one of the pioneers of a design that changed music thereafter.

He is foremost known for what he did in the 1950s with his then-wife Mary Ford, who, together, collected 36 gold records for a string of singles, including their nine-week Billboard topper How High the Moon.

They then separated and he focused on jazz, performing well into his 90s.

His most notable contribution, however, was that of the design of the electric guitar, resulting in the Gibson Les Paul, one of the most famous electric guitars ever made.

As if that wasn’t enough, he also invented the tape echo, sound-on-sound recording, and multitrack technology, all which permanently changed the way recordings are made.

“Without Les Paul, we would not have rock and roll as we know it,” Terry Stewart, president of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, told the Associated Press. “His inventions changed the infrastructure for the music. … He was truly an architect of rock and roll.”

LES PAUL

Les Paul was born Lester William Polfus in Waukesha, Wisc., on June 9, 1915. He died on Aug. 13, 2009, in White Plains, N.Y., of complications from pneumonia. He leaves long-time companion Arlene Palmer, sons Lester, Gene and Robert, daughter Coleen, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
