The pint-sized PC designed for kids
Dell Inc. has recently launched their line of Nickelodeon co-branded PCs for children, the first in an upcoming series of branding deals intended up their consumer business.
The Dell Inspiron Mini Nickelodeon Edition personal computer comes dressed in Viacom Incchannel’s trademark “green slime” design, along with other designed based on popular programming, among “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “iCarly.”
The 10-inch netbook includes wireless Internet access, weighs less than 3 pounds and is filled with educational and entertainment tools and add-ons. It also features Nickelodeon-branded desktop wallpaper and icons, as well as easily accessible online content, straight from Nickelodeon itself.
Later PCs in this venture include ones directed towards pro sports teams and college students.
The net book will be available in October in the United States through Dell’s online store, and at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. outlets and Walmart.com. It starts at $300.
