All-electric Zero Motorcycle
The new all-electric Zero DS motorcycle is on its way to the market this week in the US. Running on a pack of lithium-ion batteries, the all-electric vehicle is manufactured from 100% recyclable materials.
The California-based company also claims that the bike’s materials are non-toxic and the batteries are “landfill-approved”, with an aircraft grade aluminum skeleton
The motorcycle boasts an impressive range of 50 miles per charge, from any standard 110- or 220-volt outlet. It also has a top speed of 55 mph and can handle streets, gravel roads, and dirt trails. Its rugged wheels, aggressive design, and dual sport tires are built to efficiently move riders over any surface.
“This is designed for motorcyclists who want the freedom to ride wherever they want” said Gene Banman, CEO of Zero Motorcycles, in the press release. “The Zero DS is the world’s most versatile electric motorcycle. You can cut across a dirt trail on your way into work or ride the tarmac to your favorite trail-head.”
The Zero DS is available for purchase exclusively through the Zero Motorcycles’ website and is priced at $9,950. For more information on the Zero DS visit: zeromotorcycles.com/zero-ds and their website, zeromotorcycles.com.
