Compressed air technology is the new green

Electric cars aren’t the only eco-friendly auto option. Motor Development International (MDI), a small company headquartered in France, offers a compressed-air engine technology in their AIRPods.

Its “air car” uses high-pressure air tanks that are connected to a specially adapted piston engine. Its small size is futuristic and attractive, with a small price to complement it. Developed for urban traveling, you can drive with a joystick, at only one euro for 200km.

However, that might be a drawback for some, since it is limited to city-use only with a top speed of only 30 miles.

With no emissions, pollution-free, and easy-to-manuver design, we still think it could be a great option.  AIRPod is to go on sale in France later this year for about $8,000.
