Zimmer’s scores have their video game debut
Award-winning German composer Hans Zimmer, who has written scores for famed films such as “Gladiator” and “Pirates of the Caribbean” is writing music for his first video game project, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.”
Zimmer, who has claimed an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a Grammy, has an already extensive resume; other films include “The Lion King,” “The Dark Knight,” and “Rain Man,”. This, however, is his first in the video game genre.
According to gsamusic, the new “Call of Duty” is one of the year’s most anticipated releases, a sequel to the best seller “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.” It comes from Activision Blizzard’s Infinity Ward studio and is ready to hit stores on November 4th.
